NSW First Program
Destination NSW delivers the NSW First program to assist NSW tourism businesses to develop, promote and sell their tourism products.
It includes face to face workshops and online webcasts with a focus on free online and on-demand content, to cater to busy round-the-clock tourism businesses across NSW. Live webcasts offer ‘how-to’ insights on a range of topics for the tourism industry, with more events to be added to the calendar throughout the year.
Funding Opportunities
Grant and funding opportunities may be available to support the growth of your business, project, or event. Before applying, carefully review the program guidelines to confirm your eligibility and ensure your project meets the funding criteria. Some grants are highly competitive and have short application timeframes, so early preparation is essential.

NSW Grants and Funding Finder
Search the NSW Grants and Funding Finder, a platform providing information on grants, savings, rebates and budget relief from a wide range of government websites.
Regional Event Fund | Incubator & Flagship
The funding program aims to increase visitation to regional events and boost economic benefits to destinations. The program supports events through three streams.
Incubator Event Stream | offers seed funding to eligible events in regional NSW to support their first or second year of activity.
Flagship Event Stream | provides funding for the marketing of emerging events to increase their profile and encourage visitation.
Regional Event Fund: Event Development stream
The Event Development stream supports events that have received maximum Flagship Event funding and can present a comprehensive strategy for future growth as drivers of tourism.
This stream remains open until 31 December 2025, or until funds are exhausted, whichever comes first.
