Sunrise weather crosses LIVE in the region next week


Seven Network’s Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac will present the Sunrise weather cross from 5:30am to 9:00am:
  • Monday 15th June – Southern Highlands, The Bradman Centre
  • Tuesday 16th June – Kiama 
  • Wednesday 17th June – Mollymook
As part of COVID Recovery campaign; ‘Now’s The Time To Love NSW’, Destination NSW has partnered with local tourism bodies and operators with LIVE outside broadcasts showcasing our regional experiences.

Drive tourism – here they come


Earthcheck have produced a report on Drive Tourism and the COVID-19 recovery to inspire and stimulate discussion on how to make drive tourism work for destinations. The premise of this report stems from the closure of international borders and the expectation that people will initially start travelling to sites closer to home but that this will gradually extend to longer day trips, overnight stays and then extended breaks as the wider economy opens up.

Rapid recovery for the NSW travel and tourism industries


The TAFE NSW Tourism and Experience Services SkillsPoint are working on a project to develop training that will assist the travel and tourism industries return to prosperity. 
 
TAFE would like to test your thinking. Please complete this TAFE NSW Rapid Recovery for Travel and Tourism Survey by Friday 19 June, 2020.
 
The results of the survey will inform the training response from TAFE NSW and enable them to direct resources where they will provide the greatest value to industry.

$2 million in grants for non-profits

 

The non-profit sector is experiencing the challenge of supporting Australians through a period of significant economic and social disruption as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The AMP Foundation is offering $2 million in grants to help Australian non-profit organisations build their capacity to support and strengthen communities.
