Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) has released its 2021 Benchmarking Report, an industry-based survey of business conditions in the restaurant, café and catering industry.
The survey monitors key trends in business costs, profitability, labour and skills shortages, as well as the general business environment. Challenges identified include an increased reliance on takeaway, wage costs increases and the current staffing crisis.
A number of changes implemented in response to the pandemic were also creating more resilient business models to thrive in the future.
