New data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics has shown there were 669,200 tourism jobs in Australia in the June quarter of 2022.
This was 21,500 (3.3 per cent) more jobs than the March quarter of 2022 and 60,200 (9.9 per cent) more jobs than the June quarter 2021.
Tourism jobs peaked at 749,400 in December 2019 and are now at their highest level since the pandemic started.
