CoE Update | October 2022

Welcome to the latest Centre of Excellence Update

In October the Centre of Excellence has continued delivering its programs including a second Local Produce famil in the Eurobodalla and a professional development session presented in Merimbula.

South Coast Hospitality is Hiring

The South Coast Hospitality Is Hiring Campaign was launched in September and the results of this campaign continue to deliver support to local tourism and hospitality operators with 101 jobs pledged and 18 jobs confirmed. This program aims to ease some of the pressure on tourism and hospitality businesses by connecting job seekers into jobs that have been pledged by local operators.
Businesses that need staff are asked to visit the campaign website to pledge the jobs they need filled. The Team at the Local Jobs Program will then work with employment service providers and other organisations to match job seekers into these roles. All pledged jobs will also be posted to the jobs board of the campaign website and promoted heavily across the region.

“I have certainly learnt a lot of what is available. more importantly having been able to access new contacts this way and activities throughout the Eurobodalla area is exciting way to do it.”
