In a bid to address hospitality industry staff shortages, the NSW Government is extending free refresher courses into next year. Major staff shortages have been experienced across the industry as skilled hospitality staff left roles during the peak of the COVID pandemic and haven’t returned as the economy reopened.
Anyone whose Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or Responsible Conduct of Gambling certificate (RCG) expired from February 2020 can renew their RSA, or RSA and RCG together, for free, until February 2023 without having to retrain in full.
More than 16,000 people have already completed free RSA and RCG refresher courses through Liquor & Gaming NSW since February.
