New research undertaken by Tourism Australia’s specialist business unit, Business Events Australia confirms the levels of confidence for business event planning across Australia continues to grow, with the latest Event Here This Year campaign contributing to the positive results.
The campaign, which aimed to encourage corporate decision makers in Australia to get back to holding face-to-face business events, generated 15.4 million impressions from March to June 2022. One in two corporate decision makers recalled having seen the advertising and 96 per cent of those stated they had already taken positive steps towards planning a face-to-face business event in Australia as a result.
The research also highlighted that the confidence of Australia’s domestic business events sector is the highest it has been since the pandemic began, with 84 per cent of business decision makers planning events within the next 6 to 12 months. In addition, 95 per cent of corporates responsible for planning events offshore stating they are likely to relocate one or more of those events to Australia over the next 12 months.
