Conscious travel is on the cards for Aussie travellers who want to travel in ways that positively benefit local communities both economically and socially, new research shows. About half of respondents (45%) plan to travel more frequently to rural destinations while 69% of Australians said they would be more likely to head to destinations that are not crowded, with a similar proportion (67%) agreeing they will be more likely to look for ways to travel that allow them to avoid crowded spaces.
