About the Event
The South Coast Centre of Excellence has partnered with the Sapphire Coast Tourism Future and the Bega Valley Business Forum to present a Business and Tourism Talk on what the outcome of the recent Jobs and Skills Summit means for you and what strategies local businesses can develop to attract and retain your valuable resource – your employees.
The session will be led by Bega Valley based human resources consultant, Kelly Maher from Resources for Humans, who will provide:
- An overview of the employment profile for the Bega Valley and how this impacts employment in the region
- The long list of shortages (people, housing, childcare) and what can and can’t be addressed in the short term
- What came out of the recent Jobs and Skills Summit to address labour shortages
- Immediate actions – what levers can Bega Valley businesses and organisations activate in the short term to find staff
- Areas for further work – the future of employment and preparing for constant change
Kelly will also focus on how to attract and retain staff in a tight labour market.
