Deanna Varga

Deanna Varga is a tourism, business events and arts and culture professional with 25 years’ experience.

She is a specialist in revenue generation and strategy for these sectors with clients across government, associations, NFP and small to medium enterprise (SME). Deanna has held executive positions within the sectors and re-established her consultancy agency – Mayvin Global – in 2017.

Deanna’s board portfolio includes Non-Executive Director of Transport Heritage NSW, and Chair of the THNSW Finance Risk and Audit Committee, Board Member of the Regional Advisory Board (Asia Pacific) of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and panel expert with Arts Tasmania and Screens Tasmania.

Deanna is an alumni from UTS with a BA (Tourism Management) and in 2020 was appointed by UTS as an Adjunct Associate Professor (Industry). She completed her MBA from MGSM in 2019 and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Deanna is consulted for her commercial understanding and ability to develop commercial solutions that help organisations into the future.  Her executive career has included commercial development roles with Tourism Australia, Business Events Sydney (then Sydney Convention & Visitors Bureau), Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority and Accor. Clients that Mayvin Global work with include Laissez-faire Catering, National Parks and Wildlife Service (NSW), Local Government NSW, Australian Red Cross and Business Events Sarawak.
