SUMMARY:Shoalhaven Local Produce Tour - Wineries + Breweries
DESCRIPTION:The Centre of Excellence is planning local knowledge industry tours in the Shoalhaven\, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley to showcase the exceptional and diverse range of product and services available to visitors. \nThe aim of the tours is to increase the knowledge of local tourism and hospitality workers who are customer facing on the unique visitor local offerings so that they can recommend with confidence what is available for visitors to experience\, adding value to their stay and supporting local tourism products and services. \n  \nAbout the Shoalhaven Local Produce Tour – Wineries and Breweries \nThis full day tour will visit six wineries and three breweries throughout the Shoalhaven that offer visitor experiences. \nLocal knowledge of front-line tourism and hospitality workers plays a crucial role in shaping a visitors’ stay in the Shoalhaven and this tour is designed to grow their knowledge and network of the local producers. \nThe tour will meet in Nowra and will start out heading south taking in a winery and local breweries throughout southern and central Shoalhaven. In the afternoon the tour will continue to the north visiting five wineries and spending time with wine makers touring the vineyards and tasting the wines of the region before returning to Nowra. \nEach producer will present on the unique characteristics of their produce to educate the attendees on their visitor experience. This will expand or open new networks of producers that offer guests memorable experiences along with high quality local produce. \n  \nWho is eligible to apply \nTo attend the Shoalhaven Local Producers Tour – Wineries and Breweries Tour\, applicants must currently be working in a customer service role within the tourism or hospitality industry. \nAll participants must be over the age of 18. \n  \nWhat is included \nThe tour includes: \n\nCoach transport starting and finishing in Nowra\nEntry into all venues along with tastings with the producers\nA light lunch will be provided\n\nEach application will be considered on receipt for suitability to participate in the tour and you do not need to work in the Shoalhaven but must currently be working in a customer facing tourism or hospitality role on the South Coast. \nSeats on this tour will be limited\, please express your interest to participate by 7th September 2022.
